Small Businesses to Support this Holiday Season

Kay’s Farm Stand: Kayla and Jake own and operate Kay’s Farm stand just around the corner from Barn Blooms. They grown seasonal produce and have a wide range of canned products, seasonal decor, and other great treats. Their mission is to “bring you back to the farm.” Kayla ships apple gift boxes which include an assortment of Wafler Farm’s apples and two specialty products such as a honey or a jam. These make great gifts for relatives or friends far away who want a taste of a NY Fall.

Simply Sunshine Gifts: Kristina is a ray of sunshine. Always popping into my feed just when I need a reminder to practice some self-care or take a breather. I recently purchased her pumpkin spice body scrub and lemon lip exfoliator, and are simply obsessed. She makes these wonderful scrubs but also fun cups, pots, and other fun items that remind you to be grateful and reflect. Not only is she bringing self-care to the forefront, she donates 5% of proceeds to the ADAA and Black Mental Health Alliance. Check out her holiday line up that just dropped on etsy!

The Local Farm Table: Averie Riel is the owner and head chef of The Local Farm Table. Her mission is to bring back local ingredients and from scratch cooking to your family table. Averie has done the food for all my workshops and even catered my bachelorette weekend. What she does is truly amazing. She comes right into your home and cooks from scratch right in front of you. I will be using Averie for all my catering needs this year, and she does the most amazing charcuterie cups and boards. For the holidays, book a private pasta making class, get a charcuterie board, or have Averie come teach your friends how to cook a steak!

Imprint Coffee: If you haven’t heard of Imprint Coffee, you don’t get out much in Wayne County. This wonderful coffee business is my go-to stop when on any long road trip, and is what Kyle and I grind and enjoy at home. I am super excited for them to be opening a café location in Sodus in addition to their roastery and drive-thru location. Gift Cards from Imprint are the way to my heart for sure!

To the Core Pilates: Just over a year ago Erin opened up To the Core Pilates in the Webster Plaza. This wonderful Pilates studio is a game changer. Erin teaches the Lagree method which includes low impact, high results exercise. I have been going weekly to her microformer classes and have fallen in love with it. The microformer is a machine designed to enhance your Pilates workout, and it does just that. I promise you will leave Erin’s micro class shaking and feeling so happy you went.

Good Cheer Farm Bakes: Nancy produces all the wonderful jams and jellies that are sold on the flower stand. She also provides baked goods at Moll Farms in Williamson, and this past summer opened her own roadside stand in Marion, NY. There she sells produce, flowers, baked goods, and her jams/jellies. Her molasses cookies are Kyle’s favorite and the jalapeño/peach jam makes the best appetizer mixed with cream cheese!

The Dog Eared Book: My favorite bookstore! Carrie is simply the best, and has a super large TikTok following. There she reviews books and tells funny stories about her store. I just love seeing all that she shares on there. She always has the best recommendations, runs the most fun events, and has the cutest literary gifts. Her store is located right in Palmyra, but you can also buy her products and order books online.

FLX Table: I stumbled across this restaurant this summer and loved the concept. This is a small, intimate dinning experience. That is only open to about 20 people per seating. The chef cooks right in front of you and uses seasonal ingredients to make the most incredible meals. You can choose a different level or wine or beer pairing to go with your meal as well, which was really fun to try. Kyle and I loved going here and for sure will be gifting a dinner reservation this holiday season!

Sweets by Sarah Bakery: I had the joy of meeting Sarah and her family this spring. I started selling my flowers on the bakery porch and just loved getting to know Sarah and her business. She started baking at a young age, and pursued her dream tirelessly. Having started with a roadside stand and then transitioning to the bakery a little over a year ago. She now is shipping her products and open year round selling her baked goods. You have to try her famous one pound cinnamon roll!

Off the Leash Barkery: Holly is the head baker behind her dog bakery called Off the Leash Barkery! I love how cute her treats, pupcakes, and doggie cakes are, and our dogs love them. Each doggie birthday or special occasion we have I am always ordering some pupcakes or treats for Macy and Bruno. You can find Holly at all the markets and craft shows, but she also has delivery and pick-up set up right on her website. Look how cute her holiday boxes are!
